Heather & John | A Wedding Story | Fairbanks, AK | Rose Wheat Photography

With the forecast threatening downpours all week, Saturday took an optimistic turn. While everyone wants good luck on their wedding day, getting married on a near mountain should prove to be enough luck without rain. We arrived early, taking about a one mile hike to their wedding destination. It felt adventurous in every way, from wearing hiking sandals to climbing rocks to dancing in the near mid-night sun.

The wedding of Heather and John was something altogether unique. While most weddings involve assistance from friends and family, the way these two were assisted by the people they loved seemed something above and beyond. It was a hand-written, home-made, hand-made, hand-dyed, home-baked, hand-painted, whole-hearted love fest.

It was such a pleasure to meander through such a unique occasion with these two and the coolest bunch of people. Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day Heather and John!
