Aubri and Jeremy are a rare kind of couple. They both knew there was one thing they wanted in their lives---to be married. And shortly after meeting each other, they decided to lay it all out there. Why waste time being engaged, when you can spend a life time waking up to each other as husband and wife?
I'm so honored they chose me to join them through this little journey that leads to something huge! This week, I get to shoot their wedding which is ten times cooler. If this session was any indication as to how silly/happy/laughter-filled/meaningful their day is going to be---then I've got something seriously amazing to look forward to this Friday!
We started at Aubri's childhood home. These were in her front yard! You really can't get much more personal than that. I can't express how much I love it when clients allow for their engagement session to hold deep meaning.
Obviously, it was more than a little breezy on the day of their session. But we didn't let that keep us down! Wind is romantic, right? ;)
Simple things from an at-home location---to a grandmother's wedding ring (um... yeah) can make all the difference.
And make me want to cry. All the time.
In a good way.
These two were completely themselves in front of the camera! Jeremy was so comfortable, in fact, that he spontaneously decided to give Aubri a little lift. She responded appropriately I'd say!
We ended their session not even a block from her childhood home. The road was so wet from rain we couldn't drive it, so we hoofed it all the way to these overarching trees (my weakness! do you see the heart behind them?!), and we called it a day. These roads are so quintessentially Kansas to me, and I think adequately captured a part of Aubri's life.
Thank you both for taking the time to squeeze in some engagement pictures before you big day rolled around! I am so looking forward to everything that's going to happen this Friday!! Hang in there!! You're almost married!!!
