Five Best Albums of Summer | Travel

It’s been quite the summer over here at Rose Wheat Photography. In case you didn’t notice, I traveled to (in California-speak) a grip of places:

Denver, CO
Fairbanks, AK
Seattle, WA
Manhattan, KS
Wichita, KS
Topeka, KS
Kansas City
Columbia, MO
Indiana
Cody, WY

While I didn’t travel to most of those places because of Rose Wheat Photography, they certainly gave me something to gram about. Nameen? Besides that---it also meant I racked up many miles this summer in the car alone. Needless to say, there was downtime, and I seriously needed some jams to make those miles tick by in a slightly faster-feeling fashion (say that five times fast and tag me when you do it). So here they are, my top five albums of summer. I really wanted to make you a playlist, but let’s be honest---12 songs will hardly do much for 12 hours on the road. We’re talking a “play this album to get yourself to the next rest stop” kind of situation.

1.          The Undoing – Steffany Gretzinger
2.       We Will Not Be Shaken (Live) – Bethel Music
3.       Songs – Rich Mullins
4.       The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part I
5.       Brian Regan Live

These were albums I typically chose when I was road weary and needed a pick-me-up. They filled my heart with joy and my belly with laughter. Hopefully you’ve already been listening to most of them---but in the event you haven’t enjoy them in the final miles you have to accumulate before your summer comes to a close!*

Stay joyful, Wheaties!

*You’re also more than welcome to listen to these albums any time of the year. ;) Also---look below for proof we were actually in Wyoming!
