Oh Miss Emily! She was such a joy to work with. The first time I met with her, she was just about to start her freshman year of high school. Now it's hard to believe that next year she'll be starting college! Time flies---and I feel old! Aging aside, I'm subsequently floored by the talent and passion this girl has! She is determined to set standards high and love others all through the pursuit of dance therapy. Which she will no doubt be amazing at with a heart like hers!
Can't wait to see where this lady goes! For now though, step into the life of this Manhattan, KS Class of 2016 senior!
We started out with some cozy moments at her home. Obviously it was a comfortable place for her (the hammock helped!).
After lazing about, we explored the Stonehouse by Prairiewood. It was a beautiful property with so much to offer aesthetically! We could have shot there all day long, but more was in store---namely the field of ild sunflowers (!!!) pictured below!
Emily was totally in her element here! It was so naturally Kansas. Not only that, but the moments where she donned a tutu in front of a gigantic multi-colored sunset (pictured first in post)? They just had me singing "Home on the Range!" Things could not have worked out better!
Emily---thanks for being up for anything artistically! You were such a joy to work with, and I expect amazing things from you in the future (no pressure!). :) Have seriously the best time finishing up your last beautiful year of high school, and I wish you (and your loving family!) all the luck in the world as you prepare to head off to college!
