Tami & Jake | A Paola, KS Town Square Pastel Chic Winter Wedding

She was working a hectic job, and being Jake's boss, she had a lot on her plate. I kid! I kid! But truly, she was stressed and he took it upon himself to make her forget her worries. While he probably had a seemingly normal job description, he added one more duty to his daily tasks: make Tami smile.

At the time he surely couldn't have know that his task of bringing this blonde-haired babe happiness would last far beyond their day jobs. In about a year they went from fling to super-serious to husband-and-wife-to-be, and they asked me to join them for the end of their little engagement journey.

It was so much fun being a part of their chilly but wonderfully tasteful wedding in Paola, Kansas. It was covered head-to-toe in pastel flowers, up-town glam, and country charm. See what I mean and join me at Tami and Jake's sweet January wedding!

When I got to her wedding, her bridesmaids were busy little bees making Tami into a bride for Jake. I love the idea of the closest women in your life preparing you to meet your groom!

Her girls were absolutely elated to see her in her dress. That's the moment when everything becomes oh-so-real. The wedding is coming! The hard work is done, and the time. has. come!

Jake joyfully anticipated seeing Tami that day! I loved this face he made seconds before seeing her. :)

All he wanted to do was show her off!

The top floor of the Town Square was the perfect spot to take some cozy indoor pictures! It permitted them to stay nice and warm and look wonderfully in love. :)

We had some wedding party pictures outside, but of all of them I love these moments with her girls the most!! Goodness. Gracious! Her bridesmaids and attendants were so cute all bundled up together!

I kidnapped Tami and Jake for a few more photos outside. They were such champs and managed to look adorably in love despite the cold temperatures!

Once we decided it was time to warm up, everyone went inside and prepared for the ceremony. While waiting for Tami to come down the aisle, I rubbed elbows with some VIPs sitting in the front row. ;) I love the expressions on her grandparents' faces!!

Tami was so happy to have her mom join her and give her away, especially since her father was the officiant!

In perfectly goofy fashion, Jake had some issues with their wedding ring. They handled it with all the giggles. ;)

It was a seriously beautiful ceremony, focused on their walk with Jesus and the way He led their relationship and their individual lives. I commend them for taking boldness in their faith and being willing to make their wedding about more than just the two of them.

Tami. Was. PUMPED to be at her reception. Jake was pretty psyched too. ;)

Their besties gave adoring, hilarious, and at times embarrassing speeches prior to dinner. It made everything so loving and wonderful!

After they spent some time dancing with one another and their guests, we slipped outside for the final round of pictures. Their emotions post-ceremony were set apart and immediately deeper than the ones from before. I love that you can see their new-found intimacy in these images already!

We snuck back inside where it was time to party. I'm pretty sure everyone spent some time on the dance floor that evening!

Everything about their wedding was so. right. It was so much fun to just hang out and enjoy the day with them!

Your love reminds me of the importance of gratitude and adoration, and it's something I want to bring more into my own marriage. It's so refreshing to see a couple that honors one another and is all in!

Thank you so much for letting me be there, and blessing me throughout this whole process! You were amazing people to work with, and I wholeheartedly wish you both the best. :)
