If there's one word I could use to describe Chelsea and Kyle as a pair, it would be sweet. Or kind, or considerate, or just the best. Ok, fine. I'm not the best at choosing just one word. ;) But still! I mean everything I said.
Originally their engagement was supposed to be in Kansas City, but on account of a few unforeseen things we had to reschedule and relocate to gorgeous Manhattan, KS. Though they currently claim KC as their home, Manhattan certainly holds a piece of their hearts and a large part of their story, so it seemed almost providential that we have their session there!
It was an unseasonably warm January day that was perfect for engagement photos! Seriously though---the temperatures were just the icing on the cake when it came to shooting these two! ;) See what I mean below!
We got things started at the classically beautiful Hale Library on the Kansas State University campus. It made the perfect backdrop for their classy outfits. I couldn't get over how good these two looked together!
The way these two snuggle up?! The. Cutest!
We got just a few moments of sunshine, and these two certainly delivered! Snuggles + smiles + kisses were their happy place!
After taking some photos around the K-State campus, we headed to Manhattan Hill where---my heart!---Kyle proposed to Chelsea. I always ask couples about their proposal stories, and my favorites are the ones where the bride is completely surprised.
In this case, Chelsea was completely caught off guard. ***Tip to you fellas: Kyle is all cleverness made this just a stop along the way as they were headed somewhere, and it was over the letters spelling Manhattan that he popped the question. Like I said, shooting in Manhattan was so entirely worth it for these two!
And can I just say, Chelsea's pear cut diamond is so stunning!
To make things even more adorable they brought their sweet little dog who did such a good job at posing! I couldn't have been more proud. ;)
Chelsea and Kyle, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your engagement and most importantly, your wedding! This October is going to be so wonderful!! I cannot wait for that gorgeous fall day to roll around! Meanwhile---happy engagement!
