Jamie + Cody | Couple | Manhattan, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

After a few pictures, you will quickly find out that these two are fun. Like really fun. Jamie's freaking gorgeous and so enamored by her hubby of just over a year that it makes for a deadly combo of photo cuteness.

It was majorly flattering that Jamie asked me to take some photos for her as she runs a

photography business

 out of St. Joseph, Missouri. It has been said that the best compliment you can give a photographer is to book them, but I would like to add: the best compliment you can give a photographer is to book them when you, yourself, are a photographer.

So thanks Jamie. You guys were stinking amazing, perfectly styled, and so fun to work with. Hope you enjoyed our little photo journey through Manhattan!

Rachel + Hans | Engagement | Manhattan, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

Say hello to Rachel and Hans, a lovely couple that is getting married this September. Their light spirits, creative minds, and, most importantly, their love for each other leaves me so eager for their autumn wedding. I can only imagine what they are going to pull together!

Their shoot was jam packed with ideas as you'll see below---a DIY tent fashioned together with the help of family heirlooms and Hans' refined boy scout skills, freshly picked wildflowers, and a clear passion for books. The great people at The Dusty Bookshelf were kind enough to let us use their space for some fun, literature-filled photos.

Something super special about these two? They're hitting the pause button on kissing until their wedding day. I can't imagine how hard that will be, but I can only guess they are motivated by their love for Jesus and their desire to pursue purity---even up to the moment they say "I do."

Scroll away for some fun-loving engagement goodness, and leave them some love in the comments. section!

Maggie + Gabe ::: Engagement

When I tried to ask the two of them who pursued who, all I got were giggles and a story of their history together, dating back to high school (at least). It is rare to find a couple that has known one another so long before deciding to tie the knot, and it is certainly a treasure when it comes along. Their past is undeniable. It took nothing for them to laugh with one another and smile about nothing. Sometimes this happens because of the awkwardness of having a photographer stare at you during an intimate moment, but not with these two. It was clear to me that this was an everyday occurrence.

This summer, the two of them will share a once in a lifetime occurrence, covenanting to a life together, full of ups and down sure, but also overflowing with plenty of smiles and laughter, the glue that will connect the events of their lives.

I introduce to you Maggie + Gabe: engaged.
