Every great romance starts with some delicious anecdote, and in Amanda and David's case, theirs took the form of corndogs at the state fair. Their first date happened at the greatest state's fair (Kansas, duh), and their first picture included them chewing on a couple corndogs. What started as an unassuming, unofficial date, quickly became something so much more. In no time at all, they realized that they'd found the person, their for-life person, that they'd been waiting on for years.
Amanda and David's wedding was all reminiscing and celebration as their friends and family shared their journeys of waiting for the right person and their eventual moments of realization when they knew this was the real deal. Their love story was about the rewards for patience. It made waiting for the right person seem more wonderful than tedious and entirely worthwhile.
Their day seemed appropriately happy, from the way they recreated their first photo in front of the Pronto Pup truck (corndogs in hand), to the groomsmen with cheeseburger socks, the bride Amanda with cheeseburger and fries socks, and (naturally) to their donut wall in place of a cake (complete with donut glasses). Their day was quirky, perky, and all around wonderful, and it left me with a huge smile on my face.
